Mrs. BockDear Clayton Families,
My name is Jenny Bock and I am excited to join the fifth grade team here at Clayton! A little about me… I grew up in Round Rock and graduated from UT Austin with a degree in education. I taught fourth grade in Lago Vista ISD and at Barton Hills Elementary (Austin ISD). After five years in the classroom, I went back to school and earned a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from UT Austin. I then returned to Barton Hills and worked as a reading interventionist for grades k-6. I am passionate about literacy. My goal is to spark, foster, and nurture a love of reading that students can carry for life. I'm looking forward to creating relationships with all my new students and families! -Mrs. Bock |
Mrs. HirschDear Clayton Families,
This year will be such a monumental year for both the students and the families. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach here at Clayton and be a part of Clayton's graduating class of 2019!! I grew up in Plano, Texas, and attended both Texas Tech University and the University of North Texas. Upon graduation, I began my teaching career out west in California. I taught for 6 wonderful years in both 1st and 5th grade. I also spent several years as a curriculum specialist. Since moving back to Texas, I have been fortunate enough to work here at Clayton Elementary school for the past six years. As a Clayton Cardinal, we strive to be respectful, responsible, motivated, kind, and honest. Our "nest" is a place where all of our cardinals can feel safe, empowered, and learn to soar. My goal is to guide your cardinal while they discover their inner "wild" reader through thought provoking literature. There is a tremendous amount of growth emotionally, socially, and academically that occurs this year. I am looking forward to watching all of your young scholars blossom into mature, adolescent middle schoolers! - Mrs. Hirsch |
